Hugoye Transliteration Scheme

Hugoye employs a simple transcription scheme due to the lack of special symbols in normal fonts on the Web. The transliteration of the Syriac letters is as follows:

' b g d h w z h t y k l m n s c p s q r sh t

(We use a superscript 'c' for cyn; further, we use underline for emphatic sounds rather than the usual sublinear dot.)

As for vowels, the usual transcription scheme is used; however, we are unable to provide for supralinear lines at this moment; instead, we use a tilde. (Note: In the first issue only, both Pthaha and Zqapha were represented by 'a'.) A circumflex over these vowels to indicate a following matres lectionis can be catered for.
