SyrCOM-96: The Second International Forum on Syriac ComputingIn association with VIIum SYMPOSIUM SYRIACUMCALL FOR PAPERS Date: 12-14 August 1996 Place: Uppsala University, Sweden The First International Forum on Syriac Computing was held (in association with Syriac Symposium II) at the Catholic University of America, Washington D.C., during June 1995. The success of the first forum prompted the Syriac Computing Institute to organise the second conference in 1996. The aim of this forum is two-fold: firstly, to give academics working on computational projects related to Syriac studies an opportunity to meet and share their work and experience; secondly, to provide scholars and computer users with presentations and talks which may be of help in practical matters such as word-processing, fonts and other user-related applications. Proceedings will be published (using high quality photocopying) and distributed during the conference. Papers on all aspects of Syriac computing are welcomed, including, but not limited to
Deadlines: One page abstracts must be submitted (preferably by email) by 1 June 1996. (However, it is appreciated if contributors send abstracts earlier). Notification of acceptance will be sent by 15 June 1996 (or earlier in the case of early submissions). Camera-ready-copy of the final paper must be submitted by 1 July 1996. Papers received after the deadline will not be published. Camera-ready-copy Instructions: Text width: 15 cm.Text hight: 23 cm. Point size: 10 pt. Maximum length: 10 pages.
